London's Disused Underground Stations

J C Connor is the acknowledged expert in the research of closed stations on the London Underground network. His latest book provides a wealth of information for not only the true railway fanatic but also for the reader more interested in London history in general. The text is augmented by many period and contemporary photographs along with copies of several station plot plans.

Abandoned Stations On London's Underground

This book is a concise and very easily read review of all the stations that have shut on the London Underground. Many closures are quite well known, but the book also looks at the stations which have been relocated and re-designed. I was surprised to learn that there are so many of these. The book explores each line seperately and discusses each station usually with interesting pictures. I would definately recommend this as a valuable insight into London's transport heritage

Underground To Everywhere

This book gives a detailed account of the underground from the days in which steam trains ran on the Metropolitan line to recent economic structure changes. It is informative, but could perhaps add interest with more photographs and a section on the ghost stations no longer used.
